Causes – Oligospermia 

In Oligospermia, main participating organs are Pituitary Gland, Testes, Scrotum, Follicle Stimulating Hormones (FSH), Luteinizing hormone, Vas Deferens, luteinizing hormone and the channels through which sperm ejaculates. Any low performance in these mentioned participants is the cause of Oligospermic condition in Men.

Testicle Size – Small-sized and softer testicles along show low sperm count and are associated problems of sperm formation.

Varicocele – The sperms are produced in testes that lie within Scrotum and functional abnormalities in either of them have cascading effects. Sperms are temperature specific and rise in temperature kills sperm especially when there is swelling in Scrotum veins which disrupts the blood flow. Hence temperature rises which destroys the sperm. The swell in the vein is called Varicocele.

Infection – Sperm count in Men can also be affected by external causes. Infection transfers during sexual activity which adversely affects sperm count.

Revert Eject – In this situation Men with Oligospermia sperm-ejaculate in the reverse direction, sperm fills in the bladder rather than exiting through the urethra from the tip.

Sperms are destined to hit the egg after ejaculation but one in a million sperm is able to breach the egg wall. The strongest and most active sperm makes it to the egg and incept fertilization. Active sperms are patterned to move towards the egg, but in Oligospermia, sperms are direction-lost and move haphazardly missing the target. The other aspect of not hitting the egg is the low sperm count.
